Internet Policy

Through the Web Site, we strive to provide valuable information to you about how we may serve your financial and savings needs whether you are an existing customer or someone shopping for new banking services. We do not gather information on individual users of our Web Site. The Site does collect and store information about the name of the domain from which you access the internet, such as CompuServe.com or America On Line, the date and time you access our Site and the internet address of the Web Site from which you linked to us. Other than that, we collect information on visitors only in the aggregate and use it for internal review purposes only. BCSB Policy on Children’s Use

The Baltimore County Savings Bank Web site is generally directed at persons over the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect information on or about children under the age of 13 or otherwise. Our policy further specifically states that only those individuals 18 years or older should utilize those portions of our Web site that allow visitors to contact the bank via e-mail.

The Bank’s Web site does contain a Kid’s Page which is designed to explain the fundamentals of money and banking to children. This portion of our site does not request any personal information, but is designed as a high quality educational site for kids. Our goal is to create a fun, safe and educational location where kids and adults can learn the fundamentals of money and banking. To keep your children safe on the Internet, we encourage parents and other caregivers to supervise their children’s use of the Internet, and when possible, to participate with their children in interactive activities offered on this and other government-sponsored non-commercial Web sites available. We encourage parents and other caregivers to also learn more about online resources to protect children and the Children’s On Line Privacy Protection Act by visiting the United States Federal Trade Commission Web site at www.ftc.gov and the Kid’s Privacy Page also sponsored by the Federal Trade Commission.

The law requires parental consent to collect or use information from a child under 13. If you are a child under the age of 13, please show this to your parents and do not use the online services of this institution without verifiable parental consent pursuant to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. Only those individuals 18 years or older may utilize the online services of this Institution.
