BALTIMORE – With the many mergers of community banks and the wave of national banks entering the Baltimore market in recent years, Baltimore County Savings Bank emphasizes its roots as a community bank founded here in Baltimore County with the launch of its new advertising campaign, “Come Home to BCSB.”
Complete with a catchy jingle and familiar images of Baltimore that capture the area’s tradition and heritage, the new television commercial captures the essence of Baltimore County Savings Bank’s local beginning, serving the families and businesses of its communities. Now, with 18 locations across Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Harford County and Howard County, Baltimore County Savings Bank’s commercial invites customers to “come home” to a bank that’s grown up with them, understands their community and knows their name.
“Our new advertising campaign says what our customers constantly describe to our tellers and branch managers,” explains Joseph Bouffard, president and CEO of Baltimore County Savings Bank. “BCSB feels like an extension of family and customers trust us to do what’s right for them and their families. We launched the campaign during the holiday season to complement the sentimental feelings of family and home that surround this time of year.”
The “Come Home to BCSB” print advertisements carry the same theme to local and regional newspapers and feature warm, familiar images. The radio campaign takes creative liberty by expanding on the idea of family and the traditional sharing of fairy tales by featuring familiar fairy tale characters. The first radio spot features a woman and her son looking for just the right size bank and learning what it means to “Come Home to BCSB.”
