As with many parents, a kindness extended to Alex Shubenok’s 2-year old, Parker, is a kindness extended to him. Of course, with Parker being a puppy, Alex hardly expected his long-time bank to go out of its way just to accommodate him.

But that’s exactly what employees of BCSB’s Honeygo branch did recently when they sent Parker the pug, a big box of treats and dog toys to thank him (and his parents!) for replenishing the branch’s supply of dog treats, which they keep on hand to give out to drive-thru customers with pooches rather than toddlers in tow.

After more than 20 years in business, Alex knows his way around many Baltimore area banks. And what keeps him with Baltimore County Savings Bank, he says, is not just their kind treatment of Parker. “They listen to me,” he says, “and they take care of me.” Of course, the dog treats don’t hurt, either!
